The Penticton Vees picked up 3 out of a possible 4 points in Victoria over the weekend.
SAT – Vees 6, Victoria 3.
-The Vees extended a 1st period 3-1 lead with 3 early 2nd period goals, and coasted to a 6-3 win. Jacob Kvasnicka had a pair of 1st period goals to lead the way. Cameron Norie, Ryden Evers, Tristan Petersen and Chase Valliant also scored for Penticton, and the Vees outshot the Royals 35-14.
SUN – Victoria 4, Vees 3
-Victoria bounced back to beat the Vees 4-3 in a shootout on Sunday afternoon. In this game, Penticton rallied from a 3-1 deficit with a pair of 3rd period goals to send the game to extra time. Ryden Evers, Ethan Weber and Diego Johnson tallied for the Vees, who once again outshot Victoria, this time 35-23. With the 3 points in 2 games, Penticton now moves into a 2nd place tie in the conference, along with Victoria. Each time now has 19 points.
UP NEXT – The Vees hosting the Kelowna Rockets once again, this time Wednesday night for a 6:35 puck drop at the SOEC.
